“Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine,
you did for me.”- Matthew 25:40
The Social Outreach Committee’s mission is to raise the consciousness of our parishioners to the needs of the poor by increasing opportunities to provide assistance through the following activities:
Inspired by the Gospel values taught by Jesus, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and its patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
Organized locally, the society's members (sometimes called Vincentians) witness to God's love by undertaking works of charity and justice.
Our annual Thanksgiving drive collects food for Thanksgiving dinners for families in our community during the month of November. Throughout Advent, our Jesse Tree collection provides wrapped Christmas presents for specific seniors and families.
During the Lenten season, items are collected for agencies in our community who help individuals and families meet their material needs.
For more information on any of these activities, please contact Angela Deller.
