"O man, what has your God left you? He has left you Himself, wholly God and wholly Man, concealed under the whiteness of bread."
- Saint Catherine of Siena

Lectors should be members of the parish, have received the Sacrament of Confirmation, and be in good standing with the Church. Lectors are expected to be excellent readers, willing to dress appropriately for the liturgy and be able to commit to one to two liturgies per month.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHCs) should be members of the parish, have received the sacrament of Confirmation, and be in good standing with the Church. EMHCs are expected to assist priest(s) in distributing both species of the Eucharist when necessary, willing to dress appropriately for the liturgy, and able to commit to one to two liturgies per month. Some EMHCs also participate in the parish’s ministry to the elderly and homebound by bringing them Communion on a weekly basis.

Ushers/Greeters assist in welcoming the community before the Mass, taking up the collection and passing out bulletins at the end of Mass. Men and women of all ages are welcome to assist in this ministry.
Those interested in volunteering to be Ushers, Lectors, or EMHCs,
should contact the Pastor for a brief interview and further instructions.
Volunteers are needed to assist in decorating the church during special seasons (Advent, Christmas, lent, and Easter). We welcome parish members who are interested in sharing their creative gifts.

The St. Pius Music Ministry is made up of volunteer adult choir members, youth choir members, instrumentalists, and cantors. Our mission is to praise God through sung musical prayer, to add beauty and solemnity to the sacred liturgy, and to encourage those worshiping God to sing at Mass.
We use a variety of musical styles and forms including chants, classical, hymnody, and contemporary praise and worship music.
The adult choir practices on Tuesday nights in the church from 7:30-8:45 p.m.
