The death of a loved one can fill us with sorrow and pain. Celebrating a funeral Mass (Mass of Christian Burial) is an extraordinary way to commend our loved ones to God and to help us mourn our loss.
The Catholic funeral rite is divided into several stations, or parts, each with its own purpose. These stations include the wake/vigil service, the funeral liturgy, and the rite of committal (burial/interment).
If you wish to have a funeral at St. Pius V and/or desire the presence of one of our priests at the wake or burial of your loved one, please contact the Parish Office at (401) 751-4871 or by email to make inquiries or arrangements.
If you need to select music or have other questions about the funeral liturgy, please contact David Martinez, Director of Liturgical Music, at (401) 749-2091 or by email.
