The Council serves as a consultative body to the Pastor, providing planning and recommendations for parish priorities, promoting communication, and witnessing to the parish unity. Members, collectively, carry this responsibility as a parish trust. The council meets monthly and members are appointed for a three-year term.
Members of the Parish Finance Council must be active members of the parish, knowledgeable in the scope of parish programs and services, unquestionable in integrity, and expert in financial matters and civil law. The principal duties of the Council members are to serve as advisors to the pastor to assist him in the administration of parochial goods, to monitor the parish budget, to review the financial reports of the parish, in cooperation with the pastor to provide recommendations for increasing parish revenues, and assist the pastor in addressing any questions of civil law, which pertains to the administration of the temporal goods of the parish. Members meet approximately eight times per year.

The goal of every Catholic Charity Appeal ministry is to continue the redemptive work of Christ in our world: to teach God’s truth, to love our neighbors, to serve with grateful hearts, to promote peace and justice, to proclaim the dignity of each person, and to share our values. This is accomplished through the 39 ministries and programs, through our dedicated clergy, staff, and volunteers, and through living what we believe. Volunteers are needed to participate in our phone-a-thon a couple of evenings during the week of the drive, which takes place in the early Spring.
For more information on volunteering or other activities of the Committee, please contact Joanna Lombari.
