“The higher we go, the better we shall hear the voice of Christ.”
- Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati
At St. Pius V, we strive to educate the whole child: spiritually, academically, and athletically. What better way to apply the daily lessons our children learn during their religion classes than through the vehicle of sport? Fair play, good sportsmanship, tolerance, and discipline are just a few of the many ways in which sport becomes an ideal means for relaying values and virtues to our youth.
Our parish has a long and storied tradition of athletic excellence not only for the many, many titles won, but also for the way in which our coaches and athletes consistently conduct themselves on the fields and courts throughout the state. There are intramural and competitive sports in the areas of cross country, tennis, basketball, and soccer. It is important to support our children in a balance of spiritual development toward their sport, as well as skill development.
Many of our programs are in need of extra helping hands, so you can show your support by volunteering to coach, being a team parent (assisting the coach in various ways), or simply by being present at as many sporting events as possible.
